Who We Are

IPSHR is a non-profit organization.

  *  All monies collected through nominal fees or donations are used to promote, educate and help research the Patterned Horse.
  *  IPSHR is registered and recorded under the laws of the state of Minnesota. 
  *  IPSHR is owned by its membership and run by its council, which are elected according to the IPSHR by-laws.  

IPSHR is a registry.

*  IPSHR is a progressive registry for the most colorful Sporthorses and Ponies in the world.
*  Sporthorses carrying the LP and PATN genes are registered here, including Foundation Appaloosas, Knabstruppers, POA’s, Stonewall Horses, and Blood Horses.
*  IPSHR is an inclusive registry.  Horses are accepted by both pattern and blood and are registered in the appropriate set of books based on type and pedigree.

  *  To record and register newborn and existing Patterned Horses
  *  To preserve the history and the future of the Patterned Horse
  *  To promote the exhibition and competition of the Patterned Horse
  *  To celebrate achievements garnered in all Sport Horse disciplines by the Patterned Horse owner, breeder, and rider
  *  To contribute to the research and development of predictably breeding Patterned Horses
  *  To educate breeders and owners on health concerns for the benefit of all Horses
  *  To maintain a truthful, honest, sound, and inclusive organization

IPSHR LONG TERM GOALS

  *  To become recognized and respected in the sport horse industry
  *  To attract national and international Patterned Horses with a shared common interest in the sporting disciplines.
  *  To market the Patterned Horse more effectively.
  *  To service a web page that provides members with a database access to pedigrees, names, and accurate data
  *  To improve qualilty and harmony between breeders, owners, and riders by encouraging members to participate fully and stand as representatives on the different breed committees.
  *  To provide services beneficial to all Patterned horses and Members
  *  To operate a responsible Registry to insure the integrity and reputation of our membership.
